Homemade Christmas Gift Ideas Personalized

OK, I'm sure you've made a gift for someone before. Don't think so? Think about elementary and grammar school. Ah, now you remember! Did your Mother ever display the things that you made on the refrigerator? Mine did, and it made me so proud of my little project for her to do that! Now, let's think about Moms point of view for a minute. She knew that for the time her baby (you), worked on that little present (that now hangs from the refrigerator door), you thought of nothing but her. When she saw the time and effort that you put into the little card or picture, or collage (no matter how bad it looked), her heart melted. She got the warm and fuzzies so much so, that she displayed it to the whole world (or at least the family dog) by hanging it on the refrigerator.

Guys, nothings changed. It doesn't matter if you're giving something to your Mom, or significant other, or your Boss at work. When someone receives a homemade gift that shows the least bit of skill or thought, hearts melt! Homemade presents simply carry a sentimental value that cannot be measured with money. That's why homemade gifts are so cool! Not to mention how much more practical they are in these tough economical times.

Listen, if you hand someone a gift card to the Olive Garden, or Macy's, (or Walmart if that's your speed), sure, they'll appreciate it. I don't want to mislead you. However, if you hand someone a coffee mug (if they drink coffee) that you decorated and personalized, that has their name and their favorite teams logo and colors and on it, with a nicely decorated display box or coaster that reflects the same, and a little mini-card dangling from the handle that says: "to (the) person with love", or a picture of themselves at a time or event when they were happiest, with people that are special to them, in a customized picture frame that also expresses their feelings about that time in their life, their heart will glow! Any gift cards would be gone within a month (if they don't lose them sooner) but rest assured, they'll keep the little treasure you made for them for the rest of their lives.

Now, the problem with really personalized super special homemade gifts, is you have to know about the person on an intimate level. If you don't think you know them well enough to get them a gift that will be super special to them, you'll have to do your homework and find out more about the person.

I always recommend doing your research with close friends and family members. You don't want to ask the person too many leading questions directly, or you'll give your idea or part of it away, and you want to make their present as much of a surprise as possible. For more information on what questions to ask to make a super personalized gift, go to my website: Home-made Christmas Gift Ideas .com/ Customized and Personalized.

OK, I am always asked the question, what are some homemade Christmas gift ideas that will be really special and valuable? What should I do that will really touch my intended present recipients heart? So, I'm going to list a few homemade Christmas gift ideas that you can't go wrong with. I also want to say here, that you should go to my site http://home-madechristmasgiftideas.com/homemade-christmas-gift-ideas-customized-and-personalized/ for more in depth personalizing and more ideas.

Homemade Christmas Gift Idea #1
If it's a romantic gift, write a love poem. I know it's sounds hokey at first, but not just any poem. Write the most heartfelt poem that you've ever written. One that expresses your deepest feeling and exposes your insecurities and vulnerabilities. If you don't have experience writing poetry, do a search for the "Top 100 wedding songs," or the "Top 100 best love songs of all time," and then look up the lyrics to those songs. I'm not saying plagiarize them, but use them to inspire your words. If it's for your man, tell him how much you appreciate his work (because men work for their spouses). Being a man, I can tell you that nothing means more to me than being seen as my spouse's provider (It's just how we're designed girls). If it's for you girlfriend, ask her to marry you in the poem, if you're already married, ask her to marry you again and recommit your vows with her. Use your creativity to nicely frame the poem, and include a romantic picture where you are in a romantic embrace. Maybe you're holding hands looking eye to eye, or kissing, not posing for the camera because that's unnatural. If you don't already have a picture like that, go out with some friends and publicly proclaim your love for your spouse while having a friend take a pictures of it, but don't give away what the picture is for.

Homemade Christmas Gift Idea #2
Coordinate having close friends and family of the intended present recipient write 1 or 2 pages about different times they shared with your recipient in their life. Include funny, scary, and even sad times, but times where their friendship was close or amended. If they have any pictures from that time (especially if the present recipient is in them), make sure to include them. Then take the letters and pictures, and make an album. You can also do this for a deceased family member to someone that loved them. For example, get a deceased Father's friends, family, and/or co-workers to write letters about the Father to the Fathers Son, and present the album to the Son for Christmas.

Homemade Christmas Gift Idea #3
Make a personalized video. Videos are easy to make these days. You can shoot them right from your mobile phone, import them into your computer and burn them on a CD (DVD). These are especially good for family members or friends that have moved out of town and aren't up on "how big the kids are," or haven't seen "the new house." Videos are personalized gifts that are hard to beat because they're entertaining (sometimes funny if you've got kids playing in them) as well as heart wrenching.

Homemade Christmas Gift Idea #4
If you don't have the time or money for the above presents but your intended present recipient use the Internet (at all), you can send personalized e-card. An e-card is a message that you send that comes in the form of a Christmas or Birthday, (or whatever) message. They're very cute with animations and make a big impact. They are mostly free, and you can even send them as text messages to mobile phones now-a-days. As an added uniqueness, if you're sending to another persons email, you can also create a new free email account (like yahoo or gmail), that says something like "I-love-you-so-much-sweetheart@gmail .com". You can make the email account just for the e-card and it becomes even more special.

Homemade Christmas Gift Idea #5
Make an important picture into a jigsaw puzzle and frame it. You'll have to find someone with a jigsaw (like Home Depot) or a laser cutter to cut it for you if you want to save the expense but they're really neat gifts.

Homemade Christmas Gift Idea #6
Buy or create (however) a picture that the person will love. Scan it into your computer. Print it onto Iron on paper (that you can get for Ink Jet, and Laser printers depending on what you have), then iron it onto a shirt or jacket for the person. You can buy Iron on's for both on my site, http://home-madechristmasgiftideas.com/homemade-christmas-gift-ideas-customized-and-personalized/

Homemade Christmas Gift Idea #7
If you play an instrument, write a song.

Well, that's about all I have time for this post, but be sure to check out my website www.home-madechristmasgiftideas.com for more ideas.
